Mike is a seasoned entrepreneur with 40+ years of professional deck construction and design experience, passionate about seeing all projects through to successful completion.
Mike Gueguen founded Bend Custom Decks (BCD) in 2011 and successfully led the company to be the premier deck builder in Central Oregon. In 2021, he sold BCD and remains on the leadership team in a business development and advisory role. Mike’s primary responsibilities include meeting with all prospective clients to develop their deck projects and create design proposals.
Mike’s industry experience includes primarily deck construction and design, real estate, and physical education. Prior to launching BCD, Mike founded another deck company in Central Texas which he led for 30 years before selling it and relocating to Bend.
Raised in Bretagne, France, Mike double-majored in Physics and Physical Education while attending college in Paris. He was honored to represent France on its Modern Pentathlon team for two Olympic games: Montreal, and Munich.
Mike resides in Bend with his wife, Libby, and their four dogs. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoor lifestyle, traveling, and spending time with his family. Mike has three children and three grandchildren.
